SCLT / All Energy Must Continue Upward - Split Cassette

Two different approaches to solo synthesis from the depths of early quarantine days. SCLT (pronounced "Socialite") gave us an incredible tape a few years back of microtonal, deep listening synth sounds that were more layered and orchestrated than they let on. That style is revisited here in four different moods, some hostility and some affection, but always maintaining direct eye contact and smiling softly.

All Energy Must Continue Upward is the other side of the coin, wandering melodies that could evoke nursery rhymes or folk songs, all played on a single hardware synth. Written/improvised on the spot, recorded straight to cassette, mixed and finalized all in the course of a single housebound afternoon in April, these five tunes drift absentmindedly, thinking about far away friends and better times while locked down and waiting for dread to dissipate.
